The Voskevaz vineyard is located in the enchanting Aragatsotn region of Armenia, in the village of the same name, "Voskevaz," which means "golden bunch" in Armenian. This picturesque area, at the foot of Armenia's highest mountain, Aragats, is blessed with extraordinary natural beauty and is steeped in the profound cultural history of ancient Armenian civilization. Just a few kilometers from the vineyard, along the edge of the scenic Kasakh River gorge, you can find the remains of the "Badali Jam" church, dating back to the 5th-7th centuries. In this area, parts of karases (Armenian clay amphorae) have also been discovered, buried in the earth and used for aging wine. This is a testament to the deep-rooted wine tradition cherished in this region. The Voskevaz winery was founded in 1932 and has, despite modern innovations, carefully preserved many of its authentic elements, including the historic buildings. This demonstrates their commitment to preserving the rich heritage of Armenian winemaking culture.
