Voskevaz Karasi Collection Voskehat
In the glass, this exquisite wine shines with a mesmerizing golden straw-yellow hue. The nose is indulged with a harmonious interplay of floral and fruity aromas, where hints of pear, white cherry, and subtle accents of acacia tantalize the senses. With each sip, the wine reveals itself as a full-bodied and rounded experience, boasting a creamy texture and an outstanding structure that lingers. The palate is treated to a continuation of the white fruit, accompanied by a beautiful minerality that enhances the wine’s complexity. The finish is surprisingly long, leaving a lasting impression. This wine pairs excellently with light meat dishes, poultry, and delicately steamed fish. To fully appreciate its flavors, it is recommended to serve the wine between 11°C and 13°C.
Deep in the Armenian region of Aragatsotn, surrounded by the breathtaking hilly panorama of the mighty Mount Aragats, lies the picturesque village of "Voskevaz" – which means "golden cluster" in Armenian. Here, amidst this enchanting landscape, you will find Voskevaz Winery, a place steeped in the rich history of ancient Armenian civilization. The region exudes a wealth of cultural treasures, including the historic remains of the Badali Jam Church, dating back to the 5th to 7th centuries, situated at the edge of the picturesque Kasakh River Gorge, just a stone’s throw from the vineyards. This place offers more than just history; fragments of Karases (Armenian clay amphorae) have also been discovered here, buried in the earth to age wine in the traditional way. Voskevaz Winery was founded in 1932, and since then, it has preserved its authentic charm while embracing modern innovations. Despite these advancements, the winery remains true to its historical roots, with its distinctive buildings radiating an atmosphere of tradition and craftsmanship.
