This delicious wine is made from 100% Khikhvi grapes, hand-picked at altitudes of up to 700 metres above sea level in the picturesque Kakheti region. The grapes flourish in the valleys along winding rivers before being pressed with great care and gentleness. What makes this wine truly extraordinary is the almost magical fermentation process that takes place in the imposing earthenware jars, the famous qvevri. Here the wine reveals its true character for approximately six months on the lees, before being further refined in metal tanks before finally being bottled. The alcohol strength of this wine is 13%. Sabado Grand Khikhvi White Qvevri features medium gold to amber colour. When smelling this wine, you are greeted by a rich melange of aromas, ranging from citrus notes, peaches and flowers to juicy pears, sweet melon and subtle spicy and herbaceous hints. The taste experience is a mesmerizing journey of flavours, with delicious undertones of dried lime, vanilla, hints of rose petals, toasted bread, lychee, yellow plum and white currant.
