Château Ksara, Lebanon's oldest winery founded by Jesuits, is celebrated for its wide selection of red, white, and rosé wines. The winery expertly blends French grape varieties with indigenous Lebanese grapes to highlight the distinct terroir of the Bekaa Valley. Positioned at an altitude of 1,000 meters above sea level, the vineyards benefit from a natural water table and a temperature range of 15°C between warm summer days and cool evenings, creating optimal conditions for grape growing. The region receives 600–700 mm of rainfall annually, mostly in autumn and winter, with dry summers that reduce disease risk. Château Ksara uses sustainable, nearly organic farming practices, avoiding pesticides and herbicides. The soil, a mix of chalk, clay, and limestone, is stony, contributing to the unique flavor profile and quality of the wines.
