Château Kefraya Les Bretèches White is a delightful Lebanese wine crafted in the picturesque West Bekaa Valley subregion. The wine is a perfect blend of Viognier, Sauvignon Blanc, and Muscat Blanc. It is crafted through a meticulous process that begins with hand-picking and selecting the grapes, followed by maceration on the skins. After full maceration, the grapes are pressed using a pneumatic press, and the resulting juice undergoes debourbage, a process that removes solid particles such as seeds and other impurities. The juice is then cooled to about 8°C before fermentation in oak barrels at a consistent temperature of 16 to 18°C. Once fermentation is complete, the wine is stabilized and prepared for consumption. This wine boasts 12% ABV, offering a balanced and smooth drinking experience that highlights its vibrant flavors and aromatic elegance.

Les Bretèches White is a vibrant, flawless, and complex wine. It offers fresh aromas with subtle notes of white flowers, honey, fresh melon, and exotic fruits like peach and muscat. On the palate, the wine is crisp and balanced. The Muscat grape adds an exotic touch, while the Sauvignon Blanc reveals fruity and mineral tones mingled with hints of fresh mango and exotic apricot.

This elegant white wine pairs perfectly with Lebanese salads and mezze dishes such as hummus, tabbouleh, and fattoush. It also goes wonderfully with seafood like oysters, mussels cooked in white wine, and grilled fish. The fresh and fruity character of the wine makes it the ideal choice for light, Mediterranean dishes. It is best served at a temperature of 10-12°C.

Château Kefraya winery is situated in the Bekaa Valley, Lebanon’s premier wine region, at an elevation of 1000 meters above sea level. This historically fertile area, praised since Phoenician times, offers ideal conditions for grape cultivation. The vineyards, which are not irrigated, benefit from abundant sunshine and diverse soils rich in clay-limestone, chalk, sand, and gravel. The region’s moderate climate, marked by significant temperature fluctuations between day and night, allows for slow, even grape maturation, ensuring the production of high-quality, well-ripened wines.
