Discover the Gašper Sulec, a refined white wine from Slovenia that reflects the unique character of the Goriška Brda region. This special wine area, famous for its steep slopes and terraced vineyards, enjoys a subtle sub-Mediterranean climate. Here, warm sea breezes and cool air currents from the Alps merge, creating ideal conditions for growing aromatic and fresh grapes. The vineyards are located at an altitude of 80 to 200 meters, contributing to the mineral and complex flavors that make this wine so exceptional. The Gašper Sulec is a carefully crafted blend of three grape varieties: 33% Chardonnay, 33% Rebula, and 33% Sauvignon Vert. The grapes are hand-harvested, ensuring that only the best quality is retained. After harvest, they undergo a controlled fermentation in stainless steel vats at a temperature of 14°C, preserving the fresh aromas and delicate flavors. The wine is fully aged in these stainless steel vats, enhancing the mineral notes and vibrant acidity without any influence from oak barrels. With an elegant alcohol content of 12.5%, the Gašper Sulec offers a refined and balanced taste. This wine is the perfect choice for those seeking an authentic Slovenian experience, where craftsmanship and the region come together for a unique wine experience.

De Gašper Sulec has a clear, light straw-yellow color, with a subtle sheen that reflects the youthful freshness of the wine. The aroma is rich and complex, with the Sauvignon Vert contributing fresh scents of green apple, lime, and a hint of herbs. The Chardonnay adds a soft, creamy undertone of ripe fruit, while the Rebula imparts a fresh mineral note that makes the aroma even more refined. On the palate, the wine comes to life: a perfect balance between fruitiness and minerality, with a medium body and a refined, long-lasting finish. The acidity is excellently balanced, giving the wine a refined liveliness and elegance. Thanks to its fresh acidity and mineral finesse, this wine is particularly versatile and pairs well with a wide range of dishes. Think delicate fish dishes, light meat dishes, vegetables, salads, and even the subtle flavors of Asian cuisine. To fully bring out the fresh aromas and vibrant acidity, it is recommended to serve Gašper Sulec at a temperature of 8-10°C. This way, the wine's elegant structure is perfectly preserved.

From a young age, Gašper Čarman has been deeply intertwined with the world of wine and gastronomy. Raised in the family business, the restaurant and wine shop Danilo – gostilna & vinoteka in Reteče, he developed a natural passion for everything related to wine. However, his journey in the wine world truly began in 2004 when he decided to venture into wine sales as an independent entrepreneur. What started as a small project from his garage quickly grew into a successful online wine shop and a thriving distribution business for both private and corporate clients.
With his impressive knowledge and experience, Gašper was awarded the title of Best Sommelier of Slovenia in 2013, and repeated this success in 2015. He also completed the prestigious WSET Level 4 diploma and is currently pursuing the advanced Master of Wine program. For Gašper, learning never stops; after 14 years in the wine industry, he continues to seek new discoveries and insights.
In 2013, Gašper founded his own wine brand: Gasper Wines. The philosophy behind this brand is simple yet powerful: wine is about the experience in the glass. It's not just about the story behind the wine, but the impression a wine leaves with the first sip. This approach formed the foundation for the creation of Gasper Wines. Together with Klet Goriška Brda, one of the largest wine cooperatives in Slovenia, Gašper crafted wines that reflect the unique characteristics of the Goriška Brda terroir. Thanks to this collaboration, Gasper Wines has found its way to an ever-growing audience, both in Slovenia and globally.
