Château Ksara, the oldest winery in Lebanon, was founded by Jesuits and is renowned for its diverse range of high-quality red, white, and rosé wines. Known for blending French grape varieties with native Lebanese grapes, the winery captures the unique terroir of the Bekaa Valley. Located 1,000 meters above sea level, the vineyards benefit from an ideal climate with a 15°C temperature difference between hot summer days and cool evenings, perfect for growing premium grapes. The region receives 600-700 mm of rainfall annually, mostly during autumn and winter, while the dry summers help minimize disease risks. Château Ksara practices sustainable farming techniques, avoiding pesticides and herbicides, and cultivates its vines in stony soils rich in chalk, clay, and limestone, enhancing the distinctive quality and flavor of their wines.
