Tierras de Armenia, which opened its doors in 2003, is today a leading and contemporary winery in Armenia. The vineyards are nestled between the majestic Ararat and Aragats mountains, in the historic Armavir region, which has been known since ancient times as a center for agriculture in the Southern Caucasus due to its favorable climatic conditions. The vineyards of this winery cover more than 400 hectares and are located at altitudes ranging from 1,000 to 1,200 meters above sea level. Both indigenous and international grape varieties thrive here, such as Chardonnay, Viognier, Kangun, and Muscat for white wines, and Malbec, Tannat, Syrah, Merlot, and others for red varieties. At Tierras de Armenia, they focus on embracing the latest developments in viticulture. To achieve this ambition, they appointed the talented Argentine winemaker Gabriel Rocha as their head oenologist and the renowned consultant winemaker Michel Rolland as their oenological advisor. Gabriel Rocha shares his vision: "I aim for each wine to reflect the unique characteristics of its origin, soil, climate, and the people involved, so that it stands out from other wines. I see significant potential in Armenia, and we must have the courage to break conventional thinking." In essence, Tierras de Armenia cleverly combines tradition and innovation to produce remarkable Armenian wines.
