The Feravino Dika Frankovka is a characterful red wine from Slavonia, a historic wine region in the east of Croatia known for its long and rich winemaking tradition. The wine is made from the Frankovka grape, internationally known as Blaufränkisch, a variety that originated in Austria and made its way to Slavonia at the end of the 18th century. The vinification of this wine takes place in stainless steel tanks, a method that helps preserve the purity and freshness of the fruit. This results in a smooth, lively, and fruity character, with distinct aromas of ripe berries, cherries, and a subtle spiciness. The wine has a perfect balance between refreshing acidity and pleasant, soft tannins, making it very accessible and versatile. With an alcohol content of 12%, the Feravino Dika Frankovka offers a refined drinking experience that pairs excellently with a variety of dishes. This makes it not only a wonderful representation of the Slavonian wine tradition but also a delightful choice for lovers of elegant, fruit-driven red wines.

The Feravino Dika Frankovka is a wine with a beautiful ruby red color and a silky texture that delights the senses. The aroma is dominated by ripe blackberries, forest fruits, and cherries, creating a lively and fruity fragrance experience. On the palate, the balance between the fruity flavors and the soft tannins is perfectly expressed, resulting in a well-balanced and smooth taste. Subtle spicy accents add an extra layer of complexity, giving the wine a refined depth. This versatile wine pairs wonderfully with a wide range of dishes. For example, try the Feravino Dika Frankovka with Italian pasta, where the wine complements the flavors of the sauce, or serve it with barbecue dishes to enhance the fruity notes and complement the rich flavors of the meat. To fully enjoy this wine, it is recommended to serve the Feravino Dika Frankovka slightly chilled, at a temperature of 16-18°C. This ensures that the fresh and fruity characteristics of the wine are best expressed, offering a harmonious drinking experience.

The Feravino winery is located in the wine region of Slavonia, in eastern Croatia, between Hungary, Serbia, and Bosnia, near the village of Feričanci. Interestingly, the name Feravino is a combination of Feričanci and the Croatian word for wine, Vino. The winery was taken over in 1997 by the Kovačević family from the state. Previously, the company was a cooperative, but the family saw great potential and decided to invest. However, at the time of the takeover, the company was in poor condition, and the family had to invest significant time and resources to get it back on track. Over the course of the twenty years following the takeover, nearly a quarter of the 160 hectares of vineyards were completely replanted. In addition to the traditional native grape varieties, the family also introduced international varieties such as Pinot Noir, Syrah, and Cabernet Sauvignon, aiming to produce a wide range of high-quality wines.
